County ConventionOn March 18th, the Williamson County Libertarian Party held its county convention. We talked about a little business for the up coming year. One thing is for certain, you will be getting a good deal more on the party communication. We also voted to move the Executive Committee Business Meetings, aka. the monthly meeting, to the FIRST Tuesday of every month. This is a better fit on everyone's schedule. ALSO, we are looking to move the meetings to a better location that is conductive to a business meeting environment. We still lean towards a restaurant since the meeting is right smack in the middle of dinner time for most people but we are not set on it.

Precinct ConventionOn March 14th the Williamson County Libertarian Party held its precinct convention. We had a good time with the jokes we passed around and overall I think everyone enjoyed themselves through this election cycle. We managed to bring on 5 new precinct chairman's and re-appoint a previous precinct chairman. We also elected 5 delegates to the county convention that is coming up on March 18th. I hope everyone that did not make it to the precinct conventions can make it to the county convention.

Forums have been changed. There has been a changed in the forum software used. The new software has better features and is easier to administer. With the change comes a catch, the new forums use a seperate database backend so your WCLP site login will not authenticate access to the forums (single-sign on); a seperate login to the forums is needed (dual-sign on). The previous postings have been moved over to the new forums though, so nothing is lost in that regard. Any questions, comments, and compliments about the new forums can be directed to me, the WCLP IT Director. Any complaints should be directed to the WCLP Chairman. :-D

Round Rock water billing proposalThis is my latest idea to help reduce city government cost, increase citizen savings, AND promote environmentalism. I pitch this to, who I thought was the Utilites director, and he seemed to like the idea, sort of. He did say that they city will be moving to RF water meters that will allow the technical side of this proposal. I understand this is my *first version* of this proposal. I still have to plug in the numbers and run an analysis on this. Speaking in terms of principles this is semi-free market and semi-socialist. It still allows the city to retain ownership of the city's water but it allows free market pricing and application.

Round Rock Water Billing ProposalThis is a water billing plan proposal for the Round Rock utility department. This plan implements natural economic laws that promote fair billing and water conservation at the same time. It uses a cell phone like billing schema to accommodate city water users, allows them to save money, and reward them for conservation.
