Williamson County Emergency Medical Services will be conducting a car safety seat and booster event for area residents on Wednesday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  The safety seat check, sponsored by Texans In Motion at Baylor Scott White Health, will take place at the Williamson County EMS Station, located at 1801 E. Old Settlers Blvd., in Round Rock.  The inspection event is offered at no cost to participants and is available by appointment only.  Please call (512)943-1264 to schedule an appointment.
A limited number of child safety seats are available to families in need.  Children will need to be with a parent or other adult caregiver during the inspection in order to receive a new seat.  Items should be cleared from the vehicle in order to allow technicians access to the child safety seats.  If a car seat is found to be outdated or not meeting child safety seat standards, it may need to be replaced.
Funding for the Texans In Motion at Baylor Scott White Health project is provided in part by the Texas Department of Transportation.  Safety seat checks are planned on a regular basis throughout Williamson County.  To learn about future events, contact Texans In Motion at Baylor Scott White Health at 512-310-4751.
