Round Rock Chamber Launches Workforce Assessment

Goal to identify positions and skills of need

ROUND ROCK, Texas -The Round Rock Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Partnership today initiated a community workforce assessment that is designed to give the organization an in-depth understanding of the community’s current labor situation. The assessment survey, which was developed in coordination with The Pathfinders, will collect data on a number of workforce-related topics including hard- and easy-to-fill positions, skill set capabilities, recruiting methods, and wage and benefits information. The assessment is available to all Round Rock businesses and organizations until Wednesday, March 25.

“Ensuring that we have a viable and dynamic workforce in both the short- and long-term is our number one priority in 2015,” said Mike Odom, the chamber’s president and CEO. “This assessment will provide us with a set of benchmark data that we can then use to create a broad and thorough workforce development strategy that will assist in all of our economic generation efforts.”

The assessment is open to all businesses with operations in Round Rock and responses will be completely confidential. The Pathfinders, a multi-discipline economic development and workforce consultancy, will be collecting the data and providing an aggregated analysis to the chamber; thus protecting the privacy of all source information. The assessment survey can be accessed here.
