Taylor Police Department arrest report

June 30 – Howard McCallie, 49 of Taylor at 10:44 p.m. at 200 W. Fourth Street, officers were advised of a “suspicious†person in the area possibly tampering with cars. Officers located McCallie who appeared to be highly intoxicated on alcohol, had trouble standing on his own. In his current state of condition, McCallie presented a danger to himself and public. McCallie was arrest for Public Intoxication, a class “C†misdemeanor offense.
July 1 – Luz Nieves, 43 of Thrall – 6:28 p.m. 1300 W. Second Street, officers responded to a reported “reckless driver†at 3900 W. Second Street, eastbound. The vehicle was followed to a local bar / restaurant at 1300 W. Second Street, by the witness. The identified driver, Luz Nieves, failed a field sobriety test and was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a class “B†misdemeanor offense.
