Before two Taylor police officers could intervene, Elizabeth C. Vaughn took her own life in the parking lot of Wal-Mart Tuesday morning.
In an attempt to save Vaughn, the officers immediately opened the driver side door and began to provide medical aid while EMS was in route. They were unsuccessful at finding a pulse. Williamson County EMS and Taylor Fire Department arrived on scene at 1:32 a.m. EMS personnel could find no sign of life, and were unable to revive her.
