(NBC News) – If you’re looking to ditch the citronella candles and sticky spray this summer in order to keep the mosquitoes away, there’s an app for that.

There are several apps already available on the iPhone and Android that are supposed to keep the bugs away. One emits a high-frequency sound that is supposed to drive the pesky insects away, and the maker claims it’s 100 percent effective.
