County commissioners took an early step toward adopting a 2014-15 budget Tuesday, July 22, taking a glance at the annual budget report and hearing of some minor adjustments to the budget.
They’ve already approved pay hikes for most elected county officials; that action was taken early because of a legal requirement to allow time for officials to file grievances. Pay raises for other county employees are expected to follow suit later.
