Family fight sparks shootings in Burnet

BURNET (KXAN) – A family fight late Sunday night sparked shootings that sent two people to the hospital.  Burnet Police are working two crime scenes connected to the shootings.

In a 2:30 a.m. briefing, Chief Paul Nelson said one victim went to Seton Medical Center Williamson in Round Rock for surgery and another went to Seton Highland Lakes Hospital in Burnet but has already been released.

The shooting began at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of North Main Street.  Police were also investigating at the Best Western Hotel on the west side of Burnet, and say the two crime scenes are related.

Police arrested two people on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and plan to charge the person still hospitalized as well.
