AUSTIN (KXAN) – SWAT is currently out in a south Austin neighborhood for a man who is possibly a danger to himself.

Police said they originally got the 9-1-1 call around 7:25 p.m. from the man’s friend who was concerned for his well being.

When officers showed up to the home in the 7100 block of Tawny Circle , the man inside the house refused to come out.

Authorities believe the man is alone in the home but that he might have access to a gun.
